Story · since 2017
As far as the eye can see.
Saujana: as far as the eye can see. We chose the word because every bottle keeps one Indonesian landscape.
The beginning
Laksmi came home from Grasse with one question: why are some of the world's best oils distilled in Indonesia, while the perfumes made from them always tell stories about somewhere else?
She spent a season in Samarang, Garut, learning to distil vetiver from a family that had done it for three generations. The first three perfumes were born in her kitchen in Tebet.
Saujana still works the same way: buying directly, visiting the fields, and never hurrying.
